what is it?
- a beautiful castle at the highest point of cappadocia dating back to 12th century bc
- the castle is totally built out of natural rock
why go?
- wonder through the small castle tunnels and doors and explore this incredible site
- as you enter you’ll smell the delicious gozleme being cooked inside in the entrance by local women
- you can climb up around the side along the path to the top for the most incredible views
- but make sure you also climb through the old stairs and doors to explore even further
when is it?
- everyday from 7.30am to 8pm (in some seasons the castle is open earlier so you can catch hot air balloon views from here too!)
who to go with?
- anyone who loves beauty, views & history
- you will need to climb up to the top (although it isn’t too difficult, if anyone has mobility issues please bear that in mind)

what is it?
- a beautiful carpet shop full of colourful turkish carpets
- this particular carpet shop allow you to enter their courtyard and multiple cave rooms to take beautiful photos against the backdrop
why go?
- wonder through and explore the different colourful rugs, some are made out of silk rugs that change colour based on the different angle you view them
- even if you aren’t into getting your photos taken, this really is a unique experience when you’re here
- one of the assistants, amit, will help take your photos here and he really is amazing
when is it?
- open everyday from 9am to 10pm but make sure you book a slot in advance
- we arrived at around 11am to avoid the midday rush

- an incredible underground city where the rock settlements are constructed with the carving of soft tuff rocks deep into the ground.
- they were built to ensure the security of the inhabitants and allowing them to live in total secrecy
- the cities are composed of hundreds of rooms and connected to one another through long galleries and labyrinth-like tunnels to restrict the mobility of the enemy.

what is it?
- call fadas travel (number provided) and ask for a taxi booking to chase the balloons in the morning
- the cab driver will chase the balloons depending on wind direction and find you the best view points on the day
why go?
- there’s no guarantee you’ll see the balloons from where you will be because the wind direction changes every day at the last min
- we stayed for 3 days and didn’t see the balloons go over göreme or uçhisar once!
- get up close and personal with the balloons and then move on to the best view points
