what is it?

a beautiful castle at the highest point of cappadocia dating back to 12th century bc
the castle is totally built out of natural rock

why go?

wonder through the small castle tunnels and doors and explore this incredible site
as you enter you’ll smell the delicious gozleme being cooked inside in the entrance by local women
you can climb up around the side along the path to the top for the most incredible views
but make sure you also climb through the old stairs and doors to explore even further

when is it?

everyday from 7.30am to 8pm (in some seasons the castle is open earlier so you can catch hot air balloon views from here too!)

who to go with?

anyone who loves beauty, views & history
you will need to climb up to the top (although it isn’t too difficult, if anyone has mobility issues please bear that in mind)
